1. To avoid a dizzying ensemble, make sure each item has a different scale; no two striped patterns should have the same weight or spacing.

2. A brightly coloured tie will give your dark suit pop. Balance out the look with a pocket square in a complementary tone – a classic accessory that will never lead you astray.

3. If you have the courage to wear a bold wide-patterned suit, have the wisdom to pair it with a tone-on-tone tie in the same hue
